What is the SXSW Sydney® 2024 Volunteer Project?

The SXSW Sydney 2024 Volunteer Project is a partnership between SXSW Sydney and Casual Hands. We’re on the lookout for volunteers between October 14 – 20 to provide crucial support in various areas, including event operations, attendee assistance, and logistical management. This is your chance to be part of a globally recognised festival and conference.Come and be a volunteer!

Volunteer eligibility requirements​​

  • Must be 18 years or older​
  • Availability for a minimum of 15 hours or more throughout the duration of the SXSW Sydney® event (October 14 – 20).
  • Completion of an online orientation session and attendance of all required training sessions
  • Possession of a Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Important Dates

  • Application Period: 26 July - 8 October
  • Interviews: 5 August - 10 October
  • Orientation & Training: 26 August - 10 October
  • Event Start: 14 October 2024
  • Event Close: 20 October 2024

  • Orientation & Training: Complete online and in-person training sessions.
  • Select Shifts: Choose your shifts using the Luigi Jobs app.
  • Participate: Actively engage in your assigned roles during the event.
